Bungower-Tyabb/Tooradin Rd Roundabout.
The roundabout was constructed to alleviate the areas traffic problems and in particular the potential for accidents. The project was located on a very busy five – way intersection, which added to the logistics of a normal four-way roundabout.
Working on the middle of a road as you can imagine can be quite a challenge. To accentuate this, vehicle access had to be maintained at all times, hence it is imperative you are well organised and in particular have a well-managed traffic managed plan.
The construction process took 18 weeks from start to finish. There were minor traffic delays in the area which were admirably managed by the Maw Civil team. The project was completed on time and on budget and is a welcome addition to the area.
The success of this project could not have been possible without the working relationship of council and the co-operative patience of local people and motorists.
