Mornington’s Empire Mall

Maw Civil owes its longstanding reputation as a specialist in civil streetscape construction to its experienced team of operators, drivers, engineers and coordinators. We aim to engage with benefactors closely to produce award winning streetscapes.

The upgrade at Mornington’s Empire Mall saw the revitalisation of an existing shopping precinct to provide a more attractive and usable space for commercial use and community engagement. Our priority for this project was accommodating the needs of residents and businesses in the local community. The inclusion of decorative paving, timber decking, platforms, seating, street furniture, feature walls and lighting, as well as new playground facilities enhance the vibrancy of the commercial space providing a social element. The works also involved the relocation of the historical fountain to Mornington Park. Bryan Payne, the Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor described the development as an exciting step forward to enhancing the collective experience of our peninsula streets whilst contributing to the local economy.
